Professionalism, trust and teamwork at the heart of new member in Bulgaria

The team at Dr Miroslava Hristova Law Firm where the focus on personal relationships sees the team come together to connect and share over a coffee. Dr Hristova is seated centre.

For the newest member of the Eurojuris family, working with passion and forging relationships built on trust are what count.

Dr Miroslava Hristova Law Firm is the first member to join Eurojuris International from Bulgaria, reinforcing the network’s presence in the Balkans.

With five lawyers and two assistants, the boutique firm is mid-size for Bulgaria and specialises in a range of legal fields, such as company and commercial law, real estate and construction law, competition law, employment law, retail, consumer protection, data protection, etc. As some of the firm’s biggest clients are foreign investors, the team is also well versed in the fields of European and international law, offering highly qualified legal services in German and English.

A number of their foreign investor clients from Germany and Austria have been loyal to Dr Miroslava Hristova Law Firm for many years – a testament to their highly individual and personalized approach. Naturally, the firm’s philosophy is that they are not only advisors but also active partners for their clients, fighting their corner.

Dr Miroslava Hristova began her journey at Sofia University.  During her studies there, she met future lawyers Desislava Tsoneva and Yana Shishkova, who later became her friends and an integral part of her team.

Miroslava then went on to obtain another two degrees, an LLM and then a PhD from the University of Vienna and after gaining some experience at international law firms she set up her own practice in 2013. Since then, her firm has given its all to add young talent and create meaningful, long-lasting relationships both within the office and with clients.

This focus on personal relationships is evident in the daily rituals of the office where the team comes together to connect and share over lunch, and the seeking out of clients and connections where trust and collaboration can be nurtured.

A country with a rich heritage, and a cultural melting pot of Slavic, Byzantine, Ottoman and West influences, Bulgaria today is a fast-growing destination for international investment. Since it joined the European Union in 2007, Bulgaria’s main geopolitical asset has been its role as a gateway between the EU and the East, with its neighbour Türkiye one of its main trading partners outside Europe.

As it prepares to join the Schengen area and the Eurozone, the country's strategic location and growing industries make it a very attractive prospect for trade and investment in Europe. Bulgaria has become something of a hotspot for growing IT, retail and manufacturing industries as well as for services.

Dr Miroslava Hristova Law Firm aims to capitalize on these opportunities, not only by attracting investors to Bulgaria but also by facilitating better conditions for Bulgarian businesses in Europe.

Describing themselves as endlessly hungry for the next challenge, the firm say they chose Eurojuris after extensive research

As Miroslava said, “We’ve been looking for a network to join and expand our expertise for a while, and we knew that Eurojuris would be a great fit. After thorough research, we made the final decision to join and we couldn’t be happier. We are also keen to expand our knowledge of international law that may affect our clients, and really love the way the interaction between members is organized.”

She added:  “The whole team admires the network and we anticipate keenly the Rome conference when we can finally meet our new colleagues and start networking. As we embark on this new chapter with Eurojuris, we hope both sides will gain from the partnership.”

Said Eurojuris International president Olivier Vibert, “The appointment of Dr Hristova’s firm in Bulgaria adds another important presence for the network in the east of Europe, following the signing up of new members in Serbia, Poland, Latvia and Türkiye over the past couple of years.

“Their philosophy made them stand out and we’re looking forward to their active participation in future.”
